Atalanta disappointed with Juventus 2-2 draw

Atalanta B.C was disappointed with only a 2-2 draw against Juventus with Duvan Zapata brace cancelling out Berat Djimsiti’s own goal and Cristiano Ronaldo equaliser late on from a corner.
Atalanta head boss Gian Piero Gasperini said of the draw how “disappointed because we came so close to victory” with Juventus down to 10 men after Bentancur got sent off for a second bookable offence.
Berat Djimsiti’s own goal within a couple of minutes stunned the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia crowd, but Duvan Zapata had turned it around with a brace until Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench for a late header.
“It was a difficult start to the match, with credit to Juventus, but it’s not easy to get back into a situation like that, as if you leave lots of open spaces, you risk getting thrashed,” Gasp told Sky Sport Italia.
“For long periods against a quality side, we dominated the game. The draw remains a great result, even with the way it came about, but we are disappointed because we came so close to victory.
“It was tough after the goal so early, but we focused on what we do best.”
