RB Leipzig has completed the signing of Malian player Amadou Haidara from RB Salzburg on a long-term contract until 30 June 2023.
Sports Director and Head Coach RALF RANGNICK:
“We are very pleased that it has now worked with the commitment of Amadou Haidara. Of course, we followed his way in Salzburg, because there he developed to an absolutely exceptional player. He told the club website
“There are not that many players of his age who have such great potential. He has all the prerequisites to succeed Naby Keita in our midfield”.
Of course, it is a pity that he will be out of action due to his injury, but we hope that the conservative healing process will be successful and he might still be able to help us in the second half of the season. “
Amadou Haidara: “I am very satisfied that I am now at RB Leipzig and of course I am also looking forward to the Bundesliga. For me, the main thing now is to get fit as quickly as possible.
“I’m currently on the right path, but I’ll need more time to get back to work. Nevertheless, the anticipation and motivation are great to develop myself here in Leipzig together with my team and then soon prove myself in a new league. “
