Tottenham, Gedson Fernandes loan agreed

LONDON- Tottenham Hotspurs have announced that they reached an agreement for the 18-month loan of Gedson Fernandes from Benfica with an option to make the transfer permanent.
Gedson, 21 years old made his first-team debut last season and was named the Primeira Liga’s Best Young Player of the Month for August. He went on to finish the season as a league champion, making 22 appearances. In total, he has made 53 appearances in all competitions for Benfica, scoring three times.
Tottenham also announced that the midfielder will wear the number 30 shirt for the remainder of this season and told the club website.
“I’m very happy to be here today – I make my dream a reality,” he said. “For me, it’s one big dream to come to this big Club. I will try to give my best for the Club every day, in every training session and in every game and I will try to help the team wherever I can, working hard every day for this shirt.
