Goals: 1-0 Klostermann (22’), 2-0 Werner (44’), 2-1 Kruse (67’), 2-2 Sargent (77’), 3-2Bruma (87’)

Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick: “It was an incredibly intense game. Seeing what has been done by both teams on the field today, you can only take your hat off to all the players. The willpower of my team was great, especially after the many turning points in the game! With the substitution of Bruma, we wanted to go all in, because we wanted to win the game today. That worked!”

Willi Orban: “It has been a great year and I can only thank you on behalf of the entire team for their outstanding support from all fans – at home and abroad. It’s an indescribable feeling to win and celebrate here again just before Christmas. “

Bremen head coach Florian Kohfeldt: “We had to win the game. We left way too many chances unconverted. Despite that, I’ve got a great team in the dressing room with great character.”

Maxi Eggestein: “We’ve played three good games this week and only got one point. That’s not enough and it’s just disappointing.”

Davey Klaassen: “We created a lot of chances, but didn’t take enough of them. We absolutely have to work on this during the winter break.”
