Kariobangi Sharks out of CAF Confederation Cup

Kariobangi Sharks were dumped out of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 2-1 scoreline against Asante Kotoko in Ghana following a 0-0 draw in Nairobi in the first leg.

Sharks conceded in the 17th minute when Kotoko forward Mohammed Fatawu disposed Geoffrey Shiveka in possession to strike in the back of the net to hand the home side into the lead.
Kariobangi Sharks equalised through Patilah Omotto on the 29th minute with a strike from outside the 18-yard area to hand the away side a precious away goal.
The home side went ahead a second time on the 39th minute through a penalty that was conceded after Nickson Omondi brought down Burkina Faso striker Yacouba Songne from behind, Amos Frimpong converted the penalty, wrong-footing Brian Bwire.
Kotoko held on for the win as they marched to the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup while Sharks are eliminated in their maiden campaign.
