Werder Bremen head coach Florian Kohfledt has revealed he was annoyed at the 1-1 draw at home against TSG Hoffenheim in the Wednesday Bundesliga tie with the game the last at home this year.
Nico Schulz plays a short, square pass into the path of Leonardo Bittencourt opened the scoring on the 31st minute but was cancelled out when Ludwig Augustinsson produces a beautiful lofted cross into the box, where Theodor Gebre Selassie headed home at the far post.
Florian Kohfeldt: “Hoffenheim deserved to go in front. After they did we played a good game and had a lot of good chances but couldn’t get the goal we needed. That’s why I’m slightly annoyed by the result. The style of our football and our overall development were positive, though. We will recoup now and go to Leipzig on Saturday with the aim of getting the win.”
With the game against RB Leipzig on Saturday for the last game of the season before the winter break the manager expressed optimism in the game.
“For the boys there are two alcohol free beers and a dip in the ice bin and then we will be fit and raring to go for Leipzig. I’m generally quite optimistic because a lot of the things that were good today are repeatable.”
