Hansi Flick: “We were negligent twice in the first half, Leverkusen exploited that. We knew they’re strong at turnovers. But I can’t blame my team. It was an entertaining match, also for the spectators, but with a bad end for us. We were just too wasteful with our chances. We’ll analyse the match thoroughly.” He told the Bayern Munich website.
Peter Bosz (Bayer Leverkusen coach): “Today we had the luck we lacked in the last few weeks. We performed well in the first 30 minutes, we were bold, put them under pressure and scored. We eased off and opened up too much space then. The team showed character and the right mentality. A big compliment to the lads.”
