Marseille stalwart Steven Mandanda seems unworried with rumours of Montpellier HSC keeper being linked with a switch to the Velodrome in January stating he’ll keep giving his maximum for as long as possible.
According to reports in L’Equipe Marseille are looking for a January move for the Montpellier keeper Lecomte with and during a press conference Mandanda emphasised that he wasn’t worried.
“I read it, I heard it. Benjamin Lecomte makes a good first half of the season with Montpellier. He is a very good goalkeeper of our championship. It’s not for me to say who to take, when and how it should happen, said the No. 1 Olympian, the club since 2008 and still under contract until 2020. There are leaders who are there for that, who work for the good of the club in the short, medium or long term. “
Of course, at some point, this question will arise. The club does not belong to anyone even if it is a lot of time that I am there. We are all passing through, at some point, we must all see afterwards, continued Mandanda. For my part, I feel a lot of confidence in the club. I will give the maximum as long as possible. “
