Cavani confirms confrotation with Lionel Messi

EUROPE- Uruguay’s forward Edinson Cavani has confirmed that there was a confrontation with Argentina’s forward Lionel Messi talks during the friendly match between Argentina and Uruguay at the Bloomfield Stadium in the Israeli.

During Uruguay’s, 2-2 friendly draw with Argentina on Monday there were claims Cavani offered to fight his opponent after Messi reacted angrily to a foul from Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.

According to Ole claims that Cavani asked Messi: “Do you want to fight?” to which the Barcelona star reportedly replied: “Whenever you want, whenever you want.”

Asked about the incident the PSG forward was dismissive of the confrontation claiming its just football.

“Yes, that’s football,” he told reporters. “That’s what the Clasico matches [between Argentina and Uruguay] are like. That’s football.”
