Ruthless Tottenham hammer Cveda Zveda 5-0
England- Harry Kane was pleased with his ruthless Tottenham side as they hammered Red Star Belgrade 5-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Under pressure, Tottenham started with Kane’s header from a corner and a brace Son Heung-min’s first-half brace with Erik Lamela turn and shot as Kane second of the night secured Spurs biggest ever Champions League win.
“It’s great, it’s exactly what we needed to do,” the England striker told BT Sport.
“We know we’ve been in a tough run of results and it was the perfect way to respond.
“Of course we needed to score early, it gives you that momentum to carry on.
“We were ruthless in front of goal today, which we need to do more often.”
Son Heung-Min hoped though pleased with the turn around in form was cautious and urged his side to focus on their next challenge with Liverpool next on their calendar.
“We have got a long way to go, some big away games coming in the Champions League.
“But we take it step by step, think about Sunday and Liverpool and then think about the Champions League again after that.”
