Carlo Ancelotti speaking to the media

“Cagliari was well organized, maybe we did not give depth to the action – he said at the end of the game – In the second half we did more, then the game was dragged with many interruptions”.

“Fresh, to rest those who have spent a lot with Liverpool I think the difficulties in the first half were related to the absence of Insigne and Mertens, players more suited to attack the depth compared to Zielinski and Fabian. I also left out Albiol and Callejon because We wanted to play a match of intensity, so I chose this formation “.

“We also know from the workouts that Milik in that position is very effective”.

Rolando Maran, Cagliari  coach  complained of the time added on time:

we played with courage, without giving too much to a Napoli that usually creates many chances. allowed us to bring home a positive result, we wanted our fans, and the race seemed to be on the right track because we lost the race on a set piece.”

“The thing that regretted me is that the 0-0 recovery minutes continued to be added, such as a loss of Cragno‘splay,, then we played two minutes and 19 seconds from when we went down.
