Fiorentina Second Half Comeback earns All 3 Points

Fiorentina finally ended their 10-match winless streak, gaining the win with a second-half fightback as Giovanni Simeone ended his goal drought in a 3-1 win over Empoli.
Stefano Pioli Fiorentina urged to work with great care and continuity
“It’s an important match, clearly, and we’re playing for three points which would mean a lot. Not winning for such a long time ends up affecting our players and not just our place in the standings.”
“However, I don’t think this particular game will be decisive for our future or for our final objectives. We just have to work with great care and continuity.”
On Simeone finally ended his 10-game goal drought
“The goal was very important, he is back to being the willful and aggressive player we all know. [Christian] Norgaard and [Bryan] Dabo are both in good form, so I’ll select the one among them who better suits this match.
“As for Pjaca, he has to react psychologically. His quality as a player is beyond debate, but he needs to find his inner strength.”
Empoli Coach Beppe Iachini admitted “Fiorentina did better”
“We were defeated in a game that was very important for us,” admitted Iachini on Radio Rai. “We were looking for continuity, we played an excellent first half and we even found the lead.
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t execute the final pass that would have led to our second goal, and after they equalised, everything got a lot more difficult.
“We wanted to start off strong in the second half, but we lost [Ismael] Bennacer in the midfield, and this also affected our balance.
“We made a few mistakes, then we conceded a goal on the counter to make it 3-1 and that was that. Fiorentina did better in the second half.
