Western Stima shut down Tusker 1-0

Tusker FC went down 1-0 to Western Stima at the Moi stadium Kisumu in today’s Sportpesa Kenya Premier League with the Brewer’s searching for their first win of the season.

Tusker looking for their first win after a 2-2 draw with Sony Sugar while Western Stima had shocked Posta Rangers the previous week and were on the back foot as Tusker with the first shot of the game as David Juma headed the ball directly to the goalkeeper’s hands.

Juma went close again just after the half-hour with good spade work from John Kamau and Timothy Otieno but once again Stima keeper Odhiambo stood on their way with little endeavour from both sides and pittering to a dull draw until H.Onyango grabbed the winner with less than ten minutes to go in the game and bag three points.

In other results, Mount Kenya United went down 2-1 to Posta Rangers who gained their first points of the season as their hosts succumbed to their second successive loss in the Sportpesa Kenya Premier League.
