Gor Mahia take first leg advantage in CAF Champions League

Gor Mahia were 3-1 victors in the CAF Champions League against Nigerian side Lobi Stars at the at the MISC Kasarani today.

Gor Mahia had a blistering start to the game creating two clear-cut chances, missed the head of Francis Kahata after Samuel Onyango’s cross and were ahead on seven minutes as Jaques Tuyisenge sprang the offside trap and unleashed a shot into the back of the net.
Tuyisenge turned provider sending in a cross that Samuel Onyango latched onto in the far post whose first time shot was smothered by the keeper into the air and the forward got the ball into the net from his own rebound with an overhead kick to hand K’Ogalo a 2-0 lead.
Lobi Stars Kwambe delivered a pinpoint corner that was nodded in by Samad Kadiri to half the deficit on the half hour but was pegged back three minutes later with Onyango netting his brace dribbling past four players to slot home.
