Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri lamented on the lack of converting chances:

“I think the first half was one of our best. We created a lot of chances but they scored twice on the counter-attack.

“We had a chance to score early and we missed. I think we showed very good will but we lost the match. We have to stay calm and reflect well and try to work harder and harder and harder.

“When you play against experienced players, this is what could happen. The first half we were in control. We created a lot but we lost the match. We showed good football from the beginning. Now we have to stay calm and react and work.”

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini was impressed with the finishing and clean sheet against Fulham:

“That was a good performance. We didn’t create many chances, but the ones we did create, we scored. In the second half we did well. We kept a clean sheet.

“Maybe in the first half they had a couple of options. Lukasz Fabianski saved very well, especially the one on one he had with Kamara. We are defending better.

“Four wins in a row is not easy for any team. Now we must try to continue with our feet on the floor. I tell the players to have a winning mentality and desire. We will continue working.

“We are two points behind the European spots but there are 21 games left. It’s important to enjoy this game tonight. The results give confidence to everyone. Most of all we are enjoying what we are doing. During the week most of our attackers were in danger of not playing. Fortunately for us they recovered so they could play.”
