Newcastle six points off relegation zone

Newcastle United went six points clear of the relegation zone with a 1-0 away win to Huddersfield Town in today’s English premier league match with Salomon Randon 55th minutes sliding finish.
Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner urged his side to keep their heads up
“It is not easy to keep believing when you have so many defeats, so many narrow defeats where you think do we deserve it, but my part is to keep everyone’s heads held high,” said Wagner.
“We have to make sure our performances are the same level as they have been. At the moment we are playing very well, consistently, but don’t have the right result. They had one chance and took it.”
“We played some good football today and in recent weeks as well,” added Wagner.
“Today was different because we did not have clear-cut chances but how the players played and defended, their bravery and intensity to be on the front foot, was great.”
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez added
“Against a team so close to us in the table, and to get three points, it was a good achievement,” said Benitez.
“This group of players deserves credit and today they came together and worked hard. We gave the ball away a little bit in the first half, but in the second half we were better organised. The idea was to exploit them on the counter-attack and exploit the space behind them.”
