Fulgini leads 10 man Angers SCO draw from two-goals down in Montpellier
Angelo Fulgini was at the center of Angers SCO comeback draw away to Montpellier HSC in Ligue 1 Stade de la Mosson on March 10th, 2019
Montpellier were coming off a 2-1 win over Bordeaux midweek and took control within three minutes of the game as Gaetan Laborde run on the right wing and cut back at the byline for Andy Delort to score into the ball into the bottom left corner.
Angers were on the backfoot again as Ellyes Skhiri struck from inside the box after some unfortunate defending as a clearance came off the defender to the goal scorer to put the home side 2-0 ahead.
Skhiri should have extended the lead wasting a precise pass inside the box and slice a shot that went a whisker wide of the left post three minutes later and Flavien Tait shot above the bar.
The second half saw Ludovic Butelle pull off a great save to deny Gaetan Laborde with the away side Jeff Reine-Adelaide shot going off target.
Angers SCO day went from bad to worse as Mateo Pavlovic got his marching orders for denying a goal scoring opportunity bring down Delort as the last man on 73 minutes.
Fuglini a second-half substitute scored the first finishing a wonderful move as Reine-Adelaide slipped him to chip over the oncoming keeper with ten minutes to go in the match.
The comeback was complete with Fuglini slipped the ball to Stephane Bahoken to round the keeper in stoppage time for a share of the points.
