KPL leaders Bandari title challenge dented with loss at Ulinzi
Kenya Premier league leaders Bandari ambitions to extend their lead was held in check after a 2-1 loss to Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium.
Bernard Mwalala the Dockers head coach was celebrating a year since he joined the club and after a tough first half battle, the ‘Soldiers’ broke the deadlock from Enos Ochieng spot kick on 52 minutes to give Ulinzsecond-half lead.
The Coastal side equalized from Yema poaching from close by on 65 minutes from David Kingatua free kick that was parried by Saruni for a 1-1 scoreline.
The home side took the lead again from Ezekiel Okari 75th minute goal after a lovely cross from the left his first header hit the post, but capitalized on the rebound.
The loss leaves Bandari on 32 points with 16 games gone with their opponents rising to 10th on 21 points in the Sortpesa Premier league.
The gaffer makes just one notable change from last weeks team, Msagha takes a rest as Otewa takes his boots, the lads are ready for Ulinzi here in Nakuru.
