Domenico Tedesco under more pressure after 4-2 loss at Bremen

Schalke boss Domenico Tedesco was under more pressure following a 4-2 comeback win by Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga conceding four goals in as many games and losing a third straight game with just points separating them and the relegation zone.

Schalke was coming off a 4-0 hiding at the hands of Fortuna Dusseldorf in its last game in the Bundesliga and had a good start with Breel Embolo opener on 26 minutes latching onto a Weston McKennie header to race into the box and poke it on the near post.

The Royal Blues lead was short-lived, five minutes later Rashica restored parity with a half-volley from Kruse’s cross and took the lead in the second -half with both players involved after Rashica crossed down the right and Kruse’s heel was clipped inside the six-yard box as he looked to tap in home the cross.

Kruse stepped up and wrong-footed the goalkeeper netting on his left side of the goal on 51 minutes of the game gone and went down with Rashica adding his tally for the day on the 73rd minute, skillfully collecting Eggestein’s flick-on and rounding the advanced keeper for a 3-1 lead.

Embolo reduced the deficit heading in from a corner late on with five minutes to go but Martin Harnick closed the game in stoppage time with a strike from the edge of the box after being released by Kevin Mohwald.
