RB Leipzig Europa ended with Rangnick expecting reaction at Mainz
RB Leipzig blew their chance to go ahead into the round of 32 in the Europa League with a 1-1 draw against Rosenberg with Celtic having lost to their sister club Salzburg and Ralph Rangnick wants reaction in Bundesliga.
Rosenberg went into the game with an unenviable record of having lost their previous five games and RB Leipzig having the game at home provided double the advantage going into the lead with Matheus Cunha giving them a deserved lead but were hit in the last four minutes of regulation time Tore Reginiussen headed to see the ‘Bulls’ crash out.
Speaking today with Mainz 05 in the next match Ralph Rangnick said:
“We’re obviously very disappointed that we’re not in the Europa League anymore. We’re still in the last 16 of the DFB Pokal and we have 25 points in the Bundesliga. We want to get as many points as possible before Christmas.”
“Mainz play a very disciplined game. I’m expecting a game that’ll demand a lot from us – we have to operate at a high level tactically too. It won’t be an easy game. I’m sure that our team will show a reaction.”
