Leverkusen head coach Peter Bosz speaking after the 2-0 win over Freiburg: “It was an important victory for us. It wasn’t easy. We played against a strong opponent and we really wanted to win today, so we can move up the table.”
“We played the second goal out really well from the back. There’s always some sort of risk in this style of play, but when you score a goal like that, you have to be satisfied and that’s what I am: happy and satisfied.”
Leverkusen move to within four points of the champions league positions on 39 points while Freiburg are 13th on 27 points.
