Chemelil Sugar ground removed from banned list

14th December 2018 14:23 GMT

Chemelil Sugar FC havê had their ban on their stadium lifted following the millers meeting the recommendations of the KPL security and safety committee.

The security and safety committee had made several glaring oversights of the stadium with the field looks more of a grazing ground with over-grown grass both inside and the surrounding areas than a football playing field. The overgrown grass can conceal [harbour] snakes especially on the outer perimeter surrounding the playing turf as reported by Getinfootballworld.com

However, the club have adhered to the recommendation according to Goal.com and have been allowed to host matches in the Kenya premier league.

“This is to confirm that following a re-inspection of the Chemelil Sports Complex by the SSSC on Thursday, December 13, 2018, the ground, upon fulfilling conditions set by the Committee for its upgrade, has had its ban lifted,” revealed a statement obtained by Goal.
