AFC Leopards manage to win with Kakamega routing Mount Kenya United

AFC Leopards gave head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo his first win as Ingwe coach with a victory over Sony Sugar at Bukhungu Stadium while Kakamega Homeboyz thrashed Mount Kenya 6-0 in the Kenya Premier League.

Ingwe were on a six-game losing streak in the Sportpesa premier league leaving them bottom of the league which led to a change of manager during the middle of that run but the results didn’t change for the Kenyan Giants.

However, Cassa Mbungo has finally been rewarded with patience as Wayi Yeka 47th minute effort granted the long-suffering fans some joy as they picked up three points and move from the dreaded relegation spots with 13 points to move a point above the struggling pack with just one point separating them.

Sony Sugar who had pummeled Western Stima 4-0 in the last Kenya premier league fixture are left on 22 points and seventh in the league.

Meanwhile, Mount Kenya United were left stunned after shipping in six goals without reply against Nicholas Muyoti’s Kakamega Homeboyz to grab his first points as their head coach.
