Kariobangi sharks found their winning touchback late on with two late goals to end their two games winless streak in the Sportpesa premier league.

Sharks who had drawn and lost in their previous two games were made to wait for their breakthrough with Chemelil succumbing past the hour after Patilah Omoto broke the deadlock in the 62 minutes before Eric Kapaito secured the three points six minutes later.

The win sees William Muluya’s side climb to the fifth position on 25 points in the Kenya Premier League while Chemelil are 14th with 14 points and will host Sofapaka in their next match.

Meanwhile Bandari and Mathare United ended in a 0-0 stalemate at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa as the top two KPL sides shared the spoils.

Tusker FC went down for the third game in a row, 1-0 to Nzoia Sugar with a 42-minute strike from Hansel Ochieng giving the millers all three points at the Sudi Stadium.
