Edison Cavani close to return from injury

Paris Saint Germain striker Edison Cavani is closing in on a return to first team football after his manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed he may be available on the weekend against Caen in Ligue 1.

PSG who are set to meet Manchester United in the return of the Champions League game at the Parc de France after suffering a Hit the hip tendon against Bordeaux on February 9 in Ligue 1.

However the Uruguayan could make a return against Caen this Saturday according to Tuchel,

“Edi (Cavani) is going to train with the team this week. He talks with doctors and trains hard, very professionally. I hope he will play Saturday in Caen, “said his coach Thomas Tuchel in a press conference on Monday.

 “But he will not be ready to play tomorrow (Tuesday),” said the German tactician, in the pre-match game of quarter-final of the Coupe de France against Dijon (9:10 pm).

The return of the Paris striker would come a few days before the second leg with a 2-0 lead in the Champions League against Manchester United, on Wednesday, March 6 but will miss services of Neymar who is still injured.
