Inter Milan’s Spalletti “We were unable to keep our calm”

Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti has revealed that his side failed to cope with the pressure blowing their chance to qualify into the next round of the champions league.
The Nerazzurri knew their fate lay with getting a better result against PSV Eindhoven than Tottenham would away to Barcelona and ended in a 1-1 draw.
The home side however conceded early on with Kwadwo Asamoah robbed of possession by Bergwijn with the winger crossing for Hirving Lozano’s diving header at the back post on 13 minutes.
Inter got their reward for the pressure on the Eredivise leaders on 73 minutes with Matteo Politano lofted cross into the box found Mauro Icardi at the back post to head home.
Speaking to the media Spalletti said:
“We were unable to keep our calm, despite the fact everything was still possible. We gave the ball away, were tactically not organised and PSV were allowed some dangerous counter-attacks,” Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia.
“As the anxiety grows, you lose sight of how to control the game and it became end to end. We had our chances to score, but it wasn’t the right attitude we needed in that moment.
“Not every team can beat anyone. This does weigh on our psychology and we had to keep the game in the balance, but we became too frenetic after going a goal behind.”
