Setien expects Jesse Rodgriguez impact despite not playing recently
Real Betis head coach Quique Setién sees Jesse Rodriguez move to the club as a positive despite lacking match fitness.
“It is obvious that I know Jesé well. I had him in Las Palmas, who arrived at the winter market. There are people who may think that it did not give a great performance, but it was close. He left us quite satisfied… He told the media in a press conference to unveil the player.
“I see him as an attack player. He is not a player who will defend a lot. He is a player who is going to play upstairs. It’s not a clear tip, although you can do it up alone, but you can play thrown to the band without having to be stuck to it and give us things like playing second end.
“Physically, it’s true that he hasn’t played for a long time, and he may be out of rhythm, but he’s been training, he said it was good.
“He may need a period of time to get well and I hope that the will will reduce that time and we can count on him as soon as possible. You can enter the list. I have to talk to him. He comes from training, I understand that more or less can be right. The medical was passed without a problem.”
