Kakamega Homeboyz suspend technical staff for alleged match fixing

Kakamega Homeboyz have suspended Paul Nkata and his entire technical bench for being involved in a match-fixing syndicate with Allan Wanga appointed as the caretaker manager.   

Kakamega Homeboyz Chairman, Cleophas Shimanyula confirmed the suspension of the technical bench,

“I can confirm that we have suspended the entire technical bench for their involvement in a match-fixing scandal as we have concrete evidence on their involvement. He told Futaa.com

“They have since recorded statements to the police but we currently don’t have any information on their whereabouts.”

The two were allegedly involved in fixing two KPL games in which the club lost, “The technical bench was involved in fixing the games against Sony Sugar and Mathare United in which against Sony one of our players (Moses Chikati) scored an own goal.”

“Wanga will take over from Nkata but we are looking for an option to take over permanently, David Juma will assist Wanga in the meantime.”
