Schalke raid Manchester City youth player
Schalke have agreed on an £11million fee to sign Manchester City’s Rabbi Matondo, according to reports.
According to the Telegraph, Schalke have agreed a deal for the youngster Matondo who has declined to sign a new contract with the club.
The 18-year-old is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Cityzens but has been capped by Wales, as he came on as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Albania in November for Sam Vokes.
The youngster has been also has been part of Wales underage squad and has played eight times after switching his allegiance from England.
The move comes after Jadon Sancho’s move to Dortmund and Brahim Diaz switch to Real Madrid and has been in demand with AC Milan, Hoffenheim, Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig.
Matondo, whose contract with City runs out in the summer of 2020.
