Kariobangi Sharks crowned sportpesa cup
Kariobangi Sharks have been crowned the 2019 Sportpesa champions after edging fellow Kenyan side Bandari FC with a solitary goal on through Harrison Mwendwa.
Bandari had edged out Simba 2-1 on Friday’s semi-final while Kariobangi had survived a 6-5 post-match penalty shoot-out against Mbao FC.
Sharks solitary strike came in the second half as Duke Abuya had the ball in his own half, he took a touch before playing a through ball with to Harrison Mwenda to race into the box and slotted it in between Shikhalo’s legs to hand Sharks the lead.
William Muluya’s side will face English premier league side Everton before the start of next season at the Tanzania national stadium.
