Genoa want Real Betis and Totteham target Sanabria
Genoa president Paolo Scaroni has revealed that the club are looking to Real Betis forward Tonny Sanabria as a replacement for AC Milan bound Krzysztof Piatek.
The 22-year-old striker, who has scored five goals and provided two assists this season, is available for £27m (€30m) due to a release clause and has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspurs but Pochettino denied any move.
Mauricio Pochettino played down speculation over a possible move for the 22-year-old earlier this month.
“The first time I heard [about] him was yesterday or before yesterday. I heard for the first time yesterday this name. It’s like many names that appear in the media – rumours,” Pochettino said to Express.co.uk
“There’s many interested in this business. How many players are today in the media that are related with Tottenham, and have been in the past? Be careful because hundreds of players were related with the club and then never happened. I think my answer is so clear.”
Genoa with a bounty from the imminent sale of Piatek are looking for a striker and the club president rvealed of interest but are yet to negotiate
“Sanabria is one of the players we are tracking, but have not made a decision yet,” Genoa director of sport Giorgio Perinetti told LaRoma24.it.
“We have not started any talks with Betis yet.”
