Simba mauls AFC Leopards out of the Sportpesa cup

Simba SC dumped out opposition side AFC Leopards in the sportpesa cup becoming the second Kenyan side to bow out of the competition.

Simba were coming off a humiliating 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Vita club in the CAF Champions league with ‘Ingwe’ underperforming in the KPL but winning in their last match 2-1 over Chemelil Sugar.

Ugandan striker Emmanuel Okwi opened the scoring for the Tanzanian giants before Clatous Chama added a second but  Vincent Oburu halved the deficit late on for AFC Leopards.

“We have made a good game today before conceding a stupid goal that could have cost us. We will face another Kenyan team in the semi-finals and that will be an interesting game,” said Patrick Aussems after the game.
