Ulinzi Stars and Tusker in stalemate
Ulinzi Stars were held to a 0-0 draw in the KPL against Tusker FC played at Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium.
Ulinzi Stars were left wondering what went on as their domination of possession and scoring opportunities that were wasteful and also hit the woodwork as the closest they came.
Ulinzi boss Dunstan Nyaudo blamed luck for the missed opportunities. “Lady luck was not on our side today and Tusker should count themselves lucky for snatching a point from us,” he said to Dailynation.co.ke
Tusker boss Robert Matano added. “We did not play according to our usual game plan but I attribute this to injuries as some of our key players such as Boniface Muchiri and David Juma are still nursing injuries,” he said.
Tusker are left in fourth on the KPL log with 14 points after eight matches and meet Chemelil in their next fixture while Ulinzi remains rooted in 10th position with 10 points but face hapless Mount Kenya United.
