Western Stima draw amid point deduction reports

Western Stima were held to a 2-2 draw against Nzoia Sugar in today’s Kenya premier league match with the club facing point deduction after playing Kevin Okoth who was deemed ineligible in the Tusker game.

Nzoia Sugar pegged back Stima twice in each half as Etyang and a late penalty for the Sugarmen giving them a point to move to 10 points and 8th in the league while stima are 3rd in the KPL on 15 points and face KCB in the next fixture.

The FKF Player Status Committee meeting held on Friday decided that Okoth was not their registered player and face sanctions for the governing body.

“Having reviewed the documents submitted by the two clubs, and having considered submissions made by all the parties, including the player himself, the Committee’s decision is that the player has a three year’s contract with Tusker FC running from January 2018 to December 30, 2020, and the player was loaned to Western Stima FC for a period of one year ending December 2018.
