Pochettino not worried on Alli Hamstring and Llorente performance
Pochettino was optimistic about Dele Alli hamstring injury hoping it wasn’t serious while pleased with Fernando Llorente impact despite scoring an own goal before a stoppage-time winner from Harry Winks.
Pochettino told Sky Sports: ‘I think we all saw that during the action he suffered an injury in his left hamstring.
‘But now we must assess him in the next few days. I hope it’s not a big issue but when these ones appear we must be careful. ‘First, we must assess what’s going on in his muscle.’
On Llorente. ‘He was good. I’m so happy with his performance.
“He was very good, helped the team in the 93 minutes we played today,’ Tottenham’s manager said. Of course, he had few actions to score.
“That’s the most important thing but with games it will arrive the moment to score. ‘We believe in his quality. It’s been tough for him having to compete with Harry Kane but he deserves his opportunity and we trust him because he’s very professional”.
