Gattuso leaves Higuain with player not in right state of mind
Gennaro Gattuso has claimed that Chelsea deal still is in progress and has left Gonzalo Higuain out of the squad who wasn’t ”ready to do battle”.
“Nothing has been decided yet, so you’ll have to talk to (Milan director) Leonardo,” said the Coach in his Press conference this afternoon via Football.Italia.net
“I’ll be honest with you, I saw one of the worst training sessions since I have been here. All this talk is not good for him. I spoke to Higuain, it’s right we do this.
“I want to see people who are mentally ready to do battle and Higuain at this moment is not ready. I am not disappointed in him, I too have been a player. I did everything I could and he behaved the right way throughout.
“I accept his choice, just as I did with Leonardo Bonucci (wanting a return to Juventus) over the summer. The respect remains, perhaps he could’ve done more, while we could’ve given him better service. It is what it is.
“This team needs calm, focus and enthusiasm, elements we have been lacking recently.”
