Bayer 04 coach Peter Bosz moans lack of goal
Bayer Leverkusen new boss Peter Bosz has moaned at the lack of a goal being the reason as to why they suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Gladbach in the Bundesliga.
I can’t really complain about the team’s performance today. I spoke of the positives with the boys and told them to keep their heads up, because they played very well. We simply lacked a goal.
“Nevertheless, it’s a performance we can build on and take confidence from for the games ahead. We will work hard to achieve our goals. The European places are still a way off at the moment, but we still have a chance of getting there”.
Gladbach player Matthias Ginter added:It’s a lucky win at the end of the day. We dealt with Leverkusen’s press much better in the first half than we did in the second.
“We got away with their shot against the post and Yann Sommer also made some great saves. Bayer 04 were a little hectic at the end and that rubbed off on us a little, but we still carried on giving our all and we managed to keep them out”.
