Sarri steers clear of Hudson-Odoi resolution

Maurizio Sarri believes Callum Hudson-Odoi transfer saga isn’t his to resolve but was pleased with the player’s defensive improvement while speaking at the pre-match press conference against Arsenal.

“No,” Sarri said when asked if he had spoken to him. “I don’t want to talk with him about something that I cannot resolve. I cannot solve it. So I am very happy with him. One month ago, we worked with him for the defensive phase and he improved immediately. He told Football.London.

“And now we are working with him about movements without the ball. In my opinion, he is improving. So, on the pitch, we are really very happy with him. He is improving a lot in the last two months.

“I think that he’s in a very positive moment. Also mentally. For the attitude. For the way he is training. I think that, mentally, he is in a very positive moment at the moment.”
