AFC Leopards hold off Chemelil 2-1

AFC Leopards bounced back from last weeks defeat to hold on in a 2-1 win over hosts Chemelil Sugar in the Sportpesa Kenya premier league.

Ingwe coming off a loss to KCB FC with a slim 1-0 defeat were out to prove a point and were gifted by their opponents as Chemilil’s backline gifted Jaffery Awiti first goal on 29 minutes on the clock.

The away side added the second from Eugene Mukangula’s deflected effort off a Chemilil defender in the second half after 57 minutes.

Chemo reduced the deficit with Jairus Adira on target to give the game a grandstand finish as Leopards held on at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

AFC Leopard move to 7th in the KPL on 10 points and will face ZOO Kericho while Chemelil are on 14th position on 7 points, will be away to Tusker in the next encounter.
