PSG striker claims he’ll honour contract

PSG striker Edison Cavani has stated that he’ll honour his contract with the Parisians which runs until 2020 despite rumours linking him with a return to Napoli.

Napoli president De Laurentiis’ was quoted in the media that he wanted to see the return of the Uruguayan striker in Napoli but his hopes are looking dim following the recent comments.

“My idea is to respect the contract that binds me to the PSG until 2020 – the Matador explained to the team site – I could also close my career here because I do not know if I will play again for a long time. I’m fine here, I think the club is satisfied with my performances and so we will go on like this

The Parteponei chairman speaking of his admiration  for the striker said:

“Cavani is always my heart. I got it from Palermo and took it to Naples. With us he has learned to be a real striker, he has always done more than 30 goals per season, he represented very well Napoli, even in the Champions League.

“We have always been friends. He is a champion. In Naples, the door for him will always be open. The day that Cavani will accept a lower salary, and decide to want to live with his two children, he will be welcome.
