KCB FC get first win of the season at AFC Leopards

NAIROBI, Kenya- Kennedy Owino solitary goal for KCB FC got the promoted club their first win of the season in the KPL, edging 10-man AFC Leopards 1-0 at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

The Bankers move out of the relegation zone with a game in hand for the first time this season with five points, two behind eleventh-place Leopards.

The away side should have taken the lead on the half-hour after referee awarded KCB a penalty in the 36th minute as Nicodemus Onyango was felled but Jairus Adira keeping goal for Ingwe saved Shami Kibwana’s spot kick.

In the 40th minute, the deadlock was broken as KCB went 1-0 up after a cool finish by Kennedy Owino from inside the penalty area

Tsuma was handed a red card with the game coming to an end with a goal line clearance for the Bankers to get all three points despite the events of the week sorrounding the issue of change of the head coach yet to be confirmed.
