FOOTBALL- 7 January 2019 22:43 GMT
AFC Leopards face sanctions after allegedly their stewards asauted the matchday officials folllowing their 1-1 draw against Nzoia Sugar.
Brian Marita had opened the scoreline for the home side’s goal but a 92nd-minute equalizer by Bakary Randy drove the home side fans wild that lead to the fracas.
FKF President Nick Mwendwa has now promised to take action against the club, who were the home team. “It is very shameful and unacceptable,” FKF boss Mwendwa was quoted by Goal.com on Monday.
“We have asked AFC Leopards to produce the hooligans who beat the referee in broad daylight. I am very appalled because for a while this behavior of beating referees in the Kenyan league had gone. AFC Leopards were the home team and must have to do their job by producing the culprits.”
The FKF boss further appealed for the hooligans to be named and shamed
Hooligans ! This time we will get you. Mmezoea vibaya, you are back at it. You have no right to win a football game, everyone competing does. I wonder if have families and children. Leopards toeni hao watu this time, its your responsibility.
