Brahim Diaz has claimed that he only wanted to sign for Real Madrid as soon as he decided to leave Manchester City after sealing his £15.5 million from Manchester City.
Diaz, 19, has become Madrid’s first January signing in four years, penning a six-and-a-half year deal after five years at the City academy and was also in the Malaga youth setup before moving to the English Premier league champions.
“Today is the most important day of my life,” Brahim told reporters at his presentation on Monday as quoted by Marca.
“It is the perfect Three Kings gift. My only three options that I wanted were to play for Real Madrid, to play for Real Madrid or to play for Real Madrid.
“I have dreamt of playing for this club since I was a boy.”
Meanwhile, Madrid president Florentino Perez added: “Brahim has a lot of talent and a strong character, his dream is to triumph for Real Madrid.
“We are always looking to reinforce our squad.”
