Koulibaly edges out Mane for Senegalese player of the year

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been voted as the Senegalese player of the year with Liverpool forward Sadio Mane coming in second and Bordeaux Youssouf Sabaly third.
Koulibaly who has been in the storm of an eye following the racism chanting by Inter Milan with fans polled gave the Napoli defender impressive 41 per cent of the votes with Mane being chosen by 26 per cent of those taking part with Salaby coming a distant third.
Aurelio De Laurentiis recently confirmed rumours of Manchester United having “offered £95m” for Kalidou Koulibaly before the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
“We are more than capable of developing top players and keeping them too,” the President told reporters at the Corriere del Mezzogiorno panel.
“When they offer £95m for a center-back, that is a figure that has never been offered before, it means this is a top player.”
