Bandari hand defending Kpl champions Gor Mahia 2-1 defeat

Bandari FC set out their title credentials with a 2-1 win over Sportpesa defending Kpl champions Gor Mahia at Mbaraki Stadium on Saturday.

K’Ogalo coming off the back of a  CAF champions league encounter in Malawi against Nyasa Big Bullets which they won on penalties despite their 1-0 loss looked out of sync and the Dockers controlled the game in the first half of the game.

Bernard Mwalala were first to strike as Wadri connected with a perfect cross beating Sirkal keeper Boniface Olouch in added time of the half following his midweek heroics were he proved decisive with his penalty save.

The second half saw the coastal side extend their lead through David Kingatua with debutant Nicholas Kipkirui netting a consolation in the 77th minute.
