FOOTBALL-Nairobi, Kenya 28 December 19:23 GMT
Lyon appeal for a yellow card against Montpellier for diving has been upheld by the governing body of the French Football(FFF).
According to L’Equipe the disciplinary commission of the League (LFP) decided, to maintain the yellow card inflicted to Nabil Fekir during Montpellier- Lyon 1-1 draw on, Saturday, in the second half (72 ‘), after contact between the Lyon captain and the Montpellier Hérault keeper Benjamin Lecomte.
The appeals court ruled Mr Letexier had judged that there was no foul and therefore no penalty, and inflicted on Fekir a warning for simulation; secondly, the VAR confirmed its decision, whereas Mr Letexier did not consider it necessary to move himself to review the image.
