Chelsea and Manchester City in battle for Juventus Miralem Pjanic
Chelsea and Manchester City have been locked in a battle for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic in the summer according to reports in Italy, with the Blues having an edge with Maurizio Sarri looking to reunite with Jorginho.
According to reports, Jorginho, a favourite of Sarri’s, who worked with him at Napoli before taking him to London could be involved in a straight swap deal could ‘suit all parties’ with the Bosnian falling down the pecking order at Juventus.
Pjanic, 29 years old was close to a move last summer to PSG but the deal never materialized and has also attracted interest from Manchester City Pep Guardiola although the recent ban in all European tournaments might scupper the deal.
The Bosnian has been an integral part of the Scudetto winners since his switch in 2016 and has made 115 appearances with 15 goals during his stay after stints at AS Roma and Lyon before and his contract with Juventus runs until 2023.
