Marco Silva has revealed that Ademola Lookman is back in training and expects improvement form Yerry Mina and Dominic Calvert-Lewin with Cenk Tosun with Brighton up next i the Premier League.
On Mina’s performances, Silva said: “I don’t think so. It was a very good performance but his debut was very good as well against Chelsea.
“And yesterday he did very well too. It was important for him to build his confidence.”But he is a new player in the country and language is really important for players, especially in that position on the pitch.”He is improving and trying to speak English as fast as he can – but it was still a good performance from Yerry.”
Calvert-Lewin’s progress: “To be honest I am happy with him – but I want more because he has the quality to produce more for us as a team.
“There are some specific skills I like in a striker and he knows what I expect from him.
“If he started the last three games it is because he deserved to.”
On Red Bull Leipzig Ademola Lookman absence from the squad: “Ademola has an ankle problem. But he is nearly better. He did some ball work this morning and we will see how he is tomorrow before we decide about Brighton.”
On Cenk Tosun Future: “Yes, why not?
“It was not just Cenk who was left out of the squad. James McCarthy was also left out. It was not just him.
“I decided to go with Niasse on Wednesday and we will see what I do tomorrow.
“Morgan Schneiderlin has also been left out of squads as well.
“We have 27 players and we have to decide. We can only have 18 in the squad list and have to make a decision.”
